Minecraft Classic is the free and original version
of the game before it entered proper full development, iterating on its first prototype.
It used to be playable from the Minecraft official website prior to 2014, and later phased out around 2015.
In 2019 Minecraft released a remake of
the classic in JavaScript for the 10 year anniversary.
This remake ended up having a few issues regarding the game engine and rendering,
which prompted members of the community to release a reverse engineered rewrite of the original game called ClassiCube.
ClassiCube is an improved and maintained fan recreation of the original game with the goal of replicating the
experience of the original, while adding its own flare.
